Highlights of Gensys 8 new features:

Dynamic Business Viewer

Fast and simple graphical tool to determine cause and effect. The throbbing heart of Gensys is the Active CMDB that registers amongst others all physical, logical and conceptual dependencies to the deepest level. Gensys 8 combines the graphical presentation of the Root Cause Analyser, Impact Analyser and Business Viewer in the Dynamic Business Viewer.

Change Management Controller

Insight in and supervision on your changes. No matter the nature of a change, it can never endanger the continuity of the IT infrastructure. SPS says you should always be in control. Gensys 8 offers a clear overview of all IT infrastructure changes, undesired changes included. Only after determining if a change is correct, you can formally accept or decline this change in Audit CMDB. This tool also shows which effects accepting a change has and hence ensures an efficient and controlled decision.

Monitor Optimizer

The art of omission. Many monitoringtools generate a lot of messages, but that’s not what’s important. It’s important to show only those messages that matter. Gensys 8 optimizes smart message filtering with amongst others Monitor Profile, Auto Accept and Performance Degradation Profile.

Uniform Asset Discovery Manager

Ongoing consistent detection and collection of asset data. Reliable asset data is very important. A unique quality of Gensys is transforming all asset data to the Active CMDB including reciprocal relations. Gensys 8 effortlessly enriches your current (third-party) tool’s data with the force of its Active CMDB.

Identity Manager

Protected access to IT components and reliable audit reports. Gensys 8 allows managers to login to all IT components, even if the passwords of individual systems are unknown to them. This feature contains amongst others central protected storage of passwords and access paths, authorisation rules and auditing journals. The Gensys Identity Manager satisfies all SAS 70 and ISO 27001 certification requirements.

Service Designer

Monitoring service to not only your customers, but also to your suspects and prospects. Service Level Agreements (SLA’s) determine what to do when, how much time can be spent, the specific moment a process escalates and much more. Gensys 8 presents all information on suppliers, customers, contracts and overall or specific SLA’s in a clear overview. It’s easy to design, adapt or extend customer oriented services. Gensys knows Global SLA’s that apply when no customer specific SLA’s are entered, so agreements can always be met.

Prepaid Agreement

Flexible settlements for services to high demand customers. A Prepaid Agreement is a contract with an outlined duration for which your charges and service delivery to the customer are predetermined. Every time a customer requires one of these pre-ordered services the ‘counter’ is adjusted accordingly. Gensys 8 supports several varieties of the Prepaid Agreement, think of an agreement based on a specified amount of tickets, hours, requests, incidents, changes, etc.

Business Service Manager

The “business” is your customer, act according to his needs. To adjust the performance of your management organisation to the needs of your ‘business’, IT services are projected onto business services. This is done because company processes consist of business services.

Workload manager

React becomes predict. Move from the past of registration only to the future of control and anticipation. It’s important for SLA’s to be met. Activities should be handled completely, in the correct order and with the right amount of knowledge and experience. The Gensys Workload Manager allows for a collection of tasks (at random or pre-composed) to be combined to a workflow including all dependencies.  This provides insight in your employees current and future workload, improves your management planning, allows for correct priorities to be set and ensures an amount of control concerning employee productivity.

Anywhere App

Manage your IT always and anywhere. The Gensys Anywhere App makes IT management independent of time or place truly possible with its sophisticated presentation of information and its integration of the most important Gensys functionality: Service desk, CRM, Monitor and Active CMDB.

Dashboard

One glance shows the ‘health’ of your IT processes and infrastructure. Gensys 8 offers a choice of over fifty mini applications (‘widgets’) that show valuable, compressed information concerning the circumstances of your IT processes and the status of your infrastructure. The graphic Gensys Dashboard is also accessible online, so you can use it anywhere. You can compose views according to your own needs on an operational or management level from a technical or business angle.

Financial Manager

No loss of earnings due to correct billing hours. Besides the usual billing process of your contracts, activities outside contracts – agreed upon additional work – are invoiced after approval. Gensys 8 simplifies periodically checking invoices and attachments with activities and hours, drafting and sending invoices. It’s possible to access spent hours or (extra) revenues as a result of these hours at any given time, for each separate contract.
